For the most part, I can say I am a relatively calm and upbeat person. It takes a lot to get my feathers ruffled. The people I work with may laugh at this statement, as my job is in quite a fast paced and highly public domain.......but I digress......
My stress management has improved considerably with a combination of running, meditation, and my affirmations.
Yesterday, I received some bad news from a close associate regarding the health of her husband. It was tough to hear, as these things tend to hit home.
But life goes on. There's so much to be grateful for, and so much to live for. So if you find yourself in a sad spot, take a bit of time to experience it, then toss that thought away as far as you can!
I did that, and now I will be in a better position to support my colleague, and friend, as a result.
