I wish

I'm sitting here in the hospital oncology ward, waiting to see my doctor for my tri-annual appointment. There are people sitting here that are in a variety of different stages in their quest to beat cancer. Some are chatty and animated. Others calmly silent.

Many things go through your mind at this time. I used to get nervous the night before. Although I was sure that the appointment would go well, there's still that bit of apprehension.

Now.......almost four years later, I find myself much calmer. The many ways I have changed my life help in this matter too. The affirmations, the running, the meditation all feed into a state of general well being.

It really does make a difference.

I wish that I could find a way to put some light in many of the patients' eyes. I guess this blog is one of my steps!

PS: My appointment went well and I have now graduated to an appointment every 6 months!
